Grows to 2 feet high in large colonies. Stems are initially reddish, turning to green. Leaves are lance-shaped and smooth edged. Flowers are beaked and curled.

Grows from 4" to 24" high. Leaves are up to 5" long and narrow with deeply cut edges. Flowers are also beaked but not curled.
